Nodes

This section documents every node type in Bake Wrangler, in the order they appear in the node editor’s Add menu. All node settings also have mouse-over tooltips in Blender with the same descriptions.

Add menu categories

  • Settings — Recipe Settings, Mesh Settings Override, Pass Settings Override, Output Settings Override. See Settings Nodes.

  • Bake — File Names, Objects, Join Objects, Input Billboard, Input Material, Input UV Transfer, Input Mesh, Auto Sort Meshes, Bake Pass, Output Image Path, Output Vertex Colors, Batch Bake. See Object & Utility Input Nodes, Mesh Input Nodes, Bake Pass, and Output Nodes.

  • Post — Channel Map, Mix RGB, Split RGB, Join RGB, Math, Gamma, Fix Normals. See Post-Processing Nodes.

  • Layout — Blender’s standard Frame and Reroute nodes, usable in a recipe like in any other node tree.

Blue

A single object or collection, or a list of them

Material

A single material, or a list of them

Mesh

The combined object + settings package produced by a mesh-input node

Settings (Mesh / Pass / Output)

A settings package from a Settings node

Color

Baked image/color data flowing toward an output

Channel Map

A single channel (or float) being routed into one RGBA channel of an output

Float

A single value, used by the Post nodes

Split Output

Dark blue

Path/filename information, optionally driven by a File Names node

Bake

Grey

A finished output, feeding into a Batch Bake node

Sockets that expect an object, material, or path show an inline field you can type or drag-and-drop into directly when nothing is connected; once you connect a link, that field is replaced by whatever’s coming down the wire.
